Hi ,
If you're looking to buy property the market isn't giving you a lot of
options right now, but is it a good time to sell?
We've reached the midway point of winter, and new listings continue to decline nationally according to PropTrack's June Listing Report.
While a few states saw small increases, new listings fell 1.4 per cent in Melbourne in June, and are down 6.5 per cent on this time last year.
PropTrack's economist Angus Moore said market activity was lower in June than in May as the autumn selling season transitioned into the typically quieter winter
period.
Melbourne saw a minor drop in comparison to Perth, Adelaide and Hobart however, which recorded a hefty 25.5% decrease in new listings.
There was some positivity to be found as auction clearance rates remained high through autumn and into winter, and national house prices rose in June for the sixth
consecutive month.
